The Melocactus flowers are generally a shade of pink or red. They come in abondance from spring to fall depending on the species. They are followed by fleshy fruit.
In summer, Armatocereus Godingianus blooms at night with beautiful white flowers. Its 6-13 long fruits are green and oblong covered with yellow spines and its seeds are large and black.
