Aechmea bracteata is a species of the genus Aechmea. This species is native to Central America, Mexico, Colombia, and Venezuela; it is also reportedly naturalized in the Bahamas.
Sweetly scented flowers and edible fruit in one. This showy, dense tree displays, at an early age, attractive orange-red "trumpet style" flowers from late Summer-Fall.
