The small pink velvety bananas are about 3 inches long, with white pulp and small black seeds. They are edible and quite sweet, but also full of seeds.
Sweetly scented flowers and edible fruit in one. This showy, dense tree displays, at an early age, attractive orange-red "trumpet style" flowers from late Summer-Fall.
The Dwarf Cavendish Banana makes a good container specimen if given careful attention. Banana plants are extremely decorative, ranking next to palm trees for the tropical feeling they lend to the landscape.
