Digitalis Grandiflora Carillon
Digitalis grandiflora carillon, the Dwarf Yellow Foxglove, is a dwarf version of the Large Yellow foxglove. Very easy to grow this biennial or perennial, and a superb garden performer. Use at the front of shaded borders or in containers. The Dwarf form is growing to 12?-15" tall, the smallest of all Foxgloves. It is native to Europe. The 1 inch creamy yellow bell-shaped flowers appear in great profusion, from June to August, on short base-branching plants. Leaves are produced in the first year and the tall spikes of flowers the second year. Hardiness zones 3-8, (-37øC/-35øF, -10øC/15øF) in Winter. Thrives in sun, but part shade in hot Summer areas. Although it prefers moist well drained soil it will tolerate some drought if planted in a shady border.
