Germination | For best results, keep your seeds in the freezer or fridge for 4 weeks before planting. Start indoors 8 weeks before the last frost to get a good head start on the season. Sow seeds on top of the soil and press in gently. Keep the mix moist. You may want to cover the pot with clear plastic to keep the moisture in. The seed can take 4 weeks or more to germinate. The seedlings are very small and slow-growing at first, but then grow rapidly. Prick them out into individual pots when they are large enough to handle and plant them out during the summer. This plant will spread by long runners forming fresh plants where they touch the ground. Germination can take longer. Be patient! |
