Teloxys aristata également appelée « Dysphania aristata », « Écume de mer » ou encore « Zeechium » est une plante annuelle particulièrement intéressante pour les amateurs de bouquets secs, les architectes et les maquettistes.
De larges fleurs violettes se développent sur une mince tige atteignant 90 cm. Ses feuilles filamenteuses peuvent atteindre 30 cm de long et ses trappes pigmentées, jusqu'à 5 mm de large.
Les feuilles sont ovales, 1 cm de long et d'un vert pale. La longue tige peut supporter jusqu'à 8 fleurs et mesurer 23 cm de haut. Cette Utricularia est généralement cultivée pour ses fleurs.
