Du printemps à l’été, la vigne produit plusieurs fleurs fragrantes, de 12 cm de long, parmi les feuilles pendantes. Les fleurs attrapent les insectes, ce qui facilite la fécondation.
Le Bananier Nain Cavendish fait un bon spécimen de récipient si une attention particulière lui est donnée. Les bananiers sont extrêmement décoratifs, suivant de près le palmier, pour le sentiment tropical qu'ils prêtent au paysage.
