Les fruits sont une cosse conique, où les semences sont contenues dans les trous de la cosse. Lorsque les semences s'ouvrent, elles se retrouvent libres à l'intérieur de la cosse. La cosse se penche alors vers l'eau, relâchant les semences.
Du printemps à l’été, la vigne produit plusieurs fleurs fragrantes, de 12 cm de long, parmi les feuilles pendantes. Les fleurs attrapent les insectes, ce qui facilite la fécondation.
