Seeds from South Africa. Drosera admirabilis is a pretty compact rosette Sundew, easy to grow. The coloration is vivid with the tentacles being a dark red and the leaves a vibrant green.
The species can grow nearly ten inches tall. The leaves are oblong, linear to spatulate. The upper surface of the leaves have a covering of sticky tentacles, that attracts preys.
They grow well in a standard peat moss/sand which can be anything from 50% to 70% peat moss. There's no need to fertilize, as the plant relies on insects for food.
The hybrids can be highly variable, but they should be upright, very red, looking like Sarracenia flava but with the caracteristic lid of Sarracenia purpurea venosa.
